Instruction to Presenters

Information for Oral Presentations

The time slot for each presentation is 30 minutes for invited talks and 15 minutes for regular talks. We kindly ask you to leave 2-3 minutes within your allocated time slot for Q&A.

Session chairs will enforce the time limit rigorously in order to keep with the tight schedule. We kindly ask you for your understanding and cooperation.

Be at the conference hall 20 minutes before session starts, so that you can meet your session chairs and upload your slides to the computer in the conference hall. Please bring your presentations on a USB memory stick in MS-PowerPoint or Adobe PDF format.

The presentation format in the conference rooms is 16:9, but the format 4:3 will be also possible.

Information for Poster Presentations

Please prepare your poster in 90 cm (W) x 110 cm (H) portrait format. Note: The size is smaller than regular A0.

Please use an appropriate font size allowing posters to be readable by delegates 1.5 m away.

The poster should include the poster ID-number.

Posters can be put on the board from Tuesday, November 4, 09:00 to Thursday, November 6, 16:00.

About

ACES is a multi-lateral grand challenge science research cooperation of APEC, which is one of the eight scientific and technological cooperation projects under the branch of Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation of APEC.

The main goal of ACES is to develop our understanding of earthquake and tsunami science. To achieve this goal, the international workshop has been held every two years for the scientific researchers in APEC economies.
